The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India has given a final opportunity to members who could not submit the Multipurpose Empanelment Form (MEF) for the year 2026-27 before the MEF 2026-27 last date. In an announcement issued in October 2026, ICAI’s Professional Development Committee said members can now submit their MEF 2026-27 application during a short reopened window.

MEF 2026-27 last date: key dates
| Event | Date |
|---|---|
| Submission link opens | 15th October 2026 (midnight) |
| Submission link closes | 16th October 2026 (midnight) |
| Where to submit | meficai.org |
The link will work only during this window. Once it closes at midnight on 16th October, there is no further extension indicated.
Who can apply
All ICAI members who wish to submit their MEF application for 2026-27 but could not do so earlier for any reason. If you missed the original deadline, this is your window. Keep your documents and membership details ready before the window opens.
How to submit
- Go to meficai.org during the submission window.
- Log in with your ICAI membership credentials.
- Complete and submit the MEF 2026-27 application before the link closes at midnight on 16th October 2026.
Do not wait for the last hours. Government and institute portals often slow down under last-minute load, and this window is only open for a very short period.
What is MEF
MEF stands for Multipurpose Empanelment Form. It is ICAI’s annual empanelment through which members and firms apply for bank audits and other professional work routed through the Institute. Missing the MEF cycle means sitting out these assignments for the year, which is why this reopened window matters.
Act now before the MEF 2026-27 last date
If you or anyone in your circle missed the MEF 2026-27 submission, the time to act is 15th to 16th October at meficai.org, since the MEF 2026-27 last date falls at midnight on 16th October 2026. Share this with fellow members so nobody misses the final opportunity.
