Welcome to Study From Notes – SFN (the “Site”, www.studyfromnotes.com). By accessing or using the Site in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Nature of the Site

The Site is a free information portal that aggregates and publishes:

  • Job openings for Chartered Accountants and finance professionals;
  • Study notes, question banks and educational material;
  • News and updates related to ICAI, taxation and the accounting profession;
  • Links to free tools operated by us or third parties.

2. Sources of Job Listings — Important Disclaimer

Job listings on the Site are collected from a wide variety of third-party public sources, including but not limited to friends, contacts, WhatsApp groups, Telegram channels, LinkedIn posts, company career pages, other social media, email forwards and reader submissions.

We do NOT verify, endorse, screen, guarantee or take any responsibility for:

  • The accuracy, completeness, timeliness or authenticity of any job listing;
  • The genuineness of any employer, recruiter, contact person, email address, phone number or link;
  • The terms, salary, location, deadlines or eligibility criteria stated in any listing;
  • Whether a listing is still open, has been filled, has been withdrawn or was ever real;
  • The conduct of any employer, recruiter or intermediary named in a listing.

3. Your Responsibility — Verify Everything Yourself

You are solely responsible for independently verifying any information on the Site before you act on it — before you apply, before you send your CV, before you attend an interview, before you accept an offer and, most importantly, before you send any money, documents, ID proof or payment of any kind to anyone claiming to be an employer or recruiter.

Recommended checks:

  • Visit the employer’s official website and confirm the opening through their own careers page;
  • Cross-check the recruiter’s identity on LinkedIn;
  • Verify email domains — a genuine employer will not use free email services (gmail, yahoo, outlook) for offers;
  • Never pay a fee, deposit, “registration charge”, “security amount” or bribe for a job — legitimate employers do not ask for money;
  • Never share OTPs, bank details, Aadhaar / PAN / passport originals or passwords with strangers.

4. No Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Study From Notes – SFN, its owner, operator, authors, contributors and affiliates are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, punitive or special damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with:

  • Your use of, or inability to use, the Site;
  • Any decision you make based on information on the Site;
  • Any loss of money, time, opportunity, reputation or data resulting from any job listing, tool, study note, link, comment or content on the Site;
  • Any fraud, scam, misrepresentation, cheating, phishing or wrongful act committed by any employer, recruiter, third-party site or user;
  • Any error, omission, delay, inaccuracy, broken link, virus or downtime on the Site.

The Site is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

5. Study Notes & Educational Content

Study notes, charts, question banks and articles are provided for general educational and reference purposes only. They are not a substitute for official ICAI material, professional advice or legal advice. Always refer to the latest official study material, RTPs and MTPs published by ICAI before your exam. We do not guarantee that any material is up to date, error-free or applicable to your specific attempt.

6. Tools

The calculators and utilities on the Site (Advance Tax Calculator, RCM Calculator, TDS Finder, Kagaz, Bahi, Milaan, Rakam, Bhaav, DISA, Nazar, Naam Jap, etc.) are provided for convenience. Results are indicative only. Verify all figures with a qualified professional before you rely on them for filing, investment, compliance or business decisions.

7. External Links

The Site links to third-party websites and apps. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, availability, security or privacy practices of any external site. Following any external link is at your own risk.

8. Intellectual Property

Original content authored by us (post text, design, code, images we create) is owned by Study From Notes – SFN. You may share links to our posts freely. You may not republish, sell, redistribute or scrape our original content without prior written permission. Third-party material (company logos, forwarded messages, study material by other authors) belongs to the respective owners and is displayed under fair use for information purposes.

9. User Conduct

When commenting or contacting us, you agree not to post content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, hateful, misleading, spammy or in violation of any third-party right. We may remove any content and block any user at our sole discretion, without notice.

10. Advertising

The Site displays advertisements via Google AdSense and may include affiliate links. We may earn commission on ads or referrals. Presence of an ad is not an endorsement of the advertised product or service.

11. Changes to the Site & Terms

We may add, change or remove any part of the Site (including these Terms) at any time, without notice and without liability. Continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Termination

We may block your access to the Site at any time, at our sole discretion, for any reason, including violation of these Terms.

13. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or related to the Site or these Terms is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at the location of the Site owner.

14. Acceptance
