Vodafone Idea Limited invites applications for an opportunity in its Indirect Tax Function at the Corporate Office located in Worli, Mumbai. We are looking for experienced professionals with strong expertise in GST, Customs, Service Tax, and VAT to join our team.
Position: Indirect Tax Professional
Location: Corporate Office, Worli, Mumbai
Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA) or LLB
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategize and manage Indirect Tax (IDT) litigations across multiple jurisdictions.
- Appear before tax authorities and represent the company in hearings and proceedings.
- Review and draft replies, appeals, and submissions related to GST, Customs, and legacy taxes.
- Conduct independent legal research and prepare position papers on tax issues.
- Perform data validation and analysis prior to tax submissions and investigations.
- Provide assistance during DGGI, AE, and DRI investigations.
- Oversee preparation and finalization of contingent liabilities and litigation-related MIS reports.
Candidate Profile:
- Qualified CA or LLB with 6-10 years of relevant experience in Indirect Taxation.
- Strong understanding of GST law, Customs Act, and legacy indirect tax laws.
- Ability to handle litigation, legal drafting, and coordination with internal as well as external stakeholders.
- Sound analytical, research, and communication skills.
