ISA Eligibility Test Nov 2026: Date, Eligibility and How to Apply

ISA Eligibility Test November 2026: online exam on 14 November, 150 minutes duration, free first attempt, eligibility and how to apply

The ISA Eligibility Test for the Post Qualification Course on Information Systems Audit will be held online on Saturday, 14 November 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM. The Digital Accounting and Assurance Board (DAAB) of ICAI conducts this test under the ISA 3.0 syllabus. ICAI members who completed their Professional Training and met the eligibility conditions by 31 July 2026 can appear. The first attempt is completely free, and registration happens on the ICAI Learning Portal. One deadline matters most right now: face registration closes at 5:00 PM on 5 November 2026, and ICAI has said there will be no extension.

Official Announcement: ISA Eligibility Test, 14 November 2026

DAAB, ICAI has issued the official notification for the Online Eligibility Test (ET) for the Post Qualification Course on Information Systems Audit. Read it before you register, because it carries the face registration guidelines and the test-day instructions.

Official notification (PDF): Notification for Online Eligibility Test (ET), 14 November 2026, DAAB, ICAI

Where to register: ICAI Digital Learning Hub (learning.icai.org), using your SSP login credentials.

Two clarifications from the notification deserve attention. The last attempt under the old ISA 2.0 syllabus has expired, so every candidate now appears under ISA 3.0. Also, ICAI has discontinued fresh enrolments into the ISA 3.0 course; members already enrolled must finish their pending requirements, including this test, within the two-year validity of their enrolment.

ISA Eligibility Test Format and Passing Marks

The test is taken online from home, proctored live through your webcam with face authentication. The total duration is 150 minutes, and the questions are multiple choice. The eligibility test carries 120 marks, and the passing standard is 60 percent in aggregate, which works out to 72 marks.

Keep the system rules in mind. You need a desktop or laptop with a camera and a stable internet connection; appearing through a mobile phone is strictly prohibited and can get your result withheld. The submit button activates only after the first 60 minutes. If you minimise the test window, switch tabs or refresh the page, the test locks and submits automatically. Staying out of the webcam’s line of sight for more than five minutes disables the session until you re-authenticate.

Study material for the ISA 3.0 syllabus is available from ICAI at icai.org/post/isabackground-material. For structured preparation with notes and mock tests, see our DISA exam preparation guide.

What Happens After You Clear the Test?

Passing the eligibility test (or holding an eligibility certificate from CIT or DAAB) qualifies you for the ISA Assessment Test, the four-hour, 200-question CBT conducted by the Examination Department. The next assessment test is on 28 November 2026, and its application window ran from 8 to 21 October 2026. Our guide to the ISA Assessment Test 2026 covers its dates, centres and passing rules.
