The exam forms for the CA January 2027 exams are now open on the ICAI Self Service Portal (SSP). ICAI announced the schedule in its official announcement dated 23 September 2026 (No. 13-CA (EXAM)/JANUARY/2027). The window covers the Foundation and Intermediate examinations only. Forms opened on 3 November 2026, the last date without a late fee is 16 November 2026, and the final date with a late fee is 19 November 2026. CA January 2027 exams: the dates that matter
Exam forms for the CA January 2027 exams opened on the ICAI Self Service Portal on 3 November 2026. Foundation and Intermediate students must apply by 16 November 2026 without a late fee, or by 19 November 2026 with a late fee of Rs 600.

Who must apply for the CA January 2027 exams
This form window is only for students appearing in the Foundation or Intermediate examinations in January 2027. There is no CA Final examination in the January 2027 session, because the Final examination runs in November 2026 and its forms closed earlier. If your course registration is valid for the January 2027 attempt, you must fill the exam form on SSP even if you appeared in an earlier attempt. An exam form is separate from course registration: registering for the course does not enter you for the examination.
You apply with your SSP login. Per the ICAI announcement, the username is your student registration number in the format SRN@icai.org. Students who have never registered on SSP must create their account at the same portal, and course registration, conversion, revalidation, and photo, signature and address updates also happen on SSP only. The January 2027 examinations will also be held at three overseas centres: Bahrain, Dubai (UAE) and Kathmandu (Nepal), for Foundation and Intermediate candidates.

All papers carry an advance reading time of 15 minutes, from 1:45 PM to 2 PM, except Foundation Papers 3 and 4, which have no reading time. ICAI has also stated that the schedule will not change even if an examination day is declared a public holiday. Candidates may opt to answer in English or Hindi medium.

The fee is payable online only, by Visa, Master, Maestro or RuPay credit or debit card, net banking, or BHIM UPI.
How to fill the exam form on the SSP portal
- Go to the ICAI Self Service Portal at eservices.icai.org and log in with your SRN@icai.org username and password. Use the forgot password option if you have lost it.
- Check that your course registration is valid for the January 2027 attempt. Convert or revalidate the course on SSP first if the portal shows it as lapsed.
- Open the examination form for Foundation or Intermediate, January 2027, and select your group or groups, examination city and medium (English or Hindi).
- Verify your photo, signature and address. Update them on SSP before you submit if any of them is wrong, because the same details flow to the admit card.
- Pay the examination fee online and download the confirmation. A form is not submitted until the payment succeeds.
- If you need to change your city or medium later, use the correction window from 20 November to 22 November 2026.
Do not wait for the last date
The gap between the no-late-fee date and the final date is only three days, and the late fee is Rs 600 for Indian and Kathmandu centres. Portal traffic also peaks on the closing dates every session. Apply before 16 November 2026, keep the payment confirmation safe, and then return to preparation.
